For the past twenty years Gisele Bundchen has graced countless runways, magazine covers, and ad campaigns. Known as one of the most beautiful women in the world and one of the most (if not, arguably the most) successful supermodel of all time, she recently made the announcement that she is permanently retiring from her modelling career after 20 years in the industry. Gisele began her modeling career when she was spotted by an ad agent in her native country of Brazil. Her incredible features, dirty blond hair, and long legs immediately caught the attention of the entire modeling world. She quickly catapulted to the highest levels of the industry and notably modeled for Victoria’s Secret from 2000 – 2007.

While many of her fans and much of the fashion world was heartbroken by the news of her retirement there’s reason not to worry. Gisele confirmed that although she would no longer be appearing on the catwalk, she would still be appearing in ad campaigns, various projects, and in magazines. In the past year alone, she’s been the face of brands like Chanel, H&M, Pantene, and Carolina Herrera.
According to the beauty herself, the reasons she’s stepping away from the runaway is because she wants to spend more time with her family which includes her hunky husband Tom Brady and their two children, Benjamin and Vivian. She also revealed that she feels her body is telling her that this is the right time for her to stop.

We at OnlineChic love Gisele and will certainly miss her on the runway but we wish her all of the best in her upcoming career. We’re sure there are great things ahead for her!
